The two-member band Cold Soul performed at Fat Daddy's Saturday night and immediately livened up a slow crowd.

Without introduction, Ray DeLamar and Jeff Gaither blasted into the small dark bar. For the first few songs the band kept it loud and fast with covers like Lou Reed's "Ride Sally Ride' and "TROUBLE" by Travis Tritt, but quickly slowed it down long enough to show DeLamar's talents on the slide while Gaither sang songs from Van Morrison and Bob Seger.

The band kept the crowd rowdy with barroom humor and a few scandalous covers including one from Snoop Dog, but it was the country sound mixed with deep blues that kept the crowd's attention. Cold Soul has not released an album yet but plan to be finished with there first sometime this summer.

If you like getting loud and songs about drinking, these guys are for you. The local band plays mostly in the Auburn area and upcoming shows can be found on
www.coldsoul.net.
